Details: Client had blown-in insulation removed from attic and foam insulation applied throughout the space. Conducted sampling on surfaces for boron. Boron is a flame retardant used in the insulation. Also used a Photo Ionizing Detector (PID) for VOC’s of which is a byproduct of off gassing of the foam. Identified source of contamination. Advised client of remediation strategies for cleaning.

Details: Performed visual inspection, mold sampling and moisture mapping following a water intrusion event where a roofing contractor did not seal a roof penetration. Water came into the home and damaged the ceiling drywall. Prior to repairs, the contractor and homeowner wanted to be sure there was no mold present.
